THE ORGANIZATION THAT NURTURES ADMIRATION FOR THE ARTISTIC COLLECTION OF THE NATIONAL ART MUSEUM OF CATALONIA.
The Friends of the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) was founded in 1996 and is an active and well-established cultural organization. With more than twenty years of history and more than three thousand committed members, its mission is to disseminate the heritage preserved by the MNAC, to encourage the participation of civil society in the life of the museum and to revitalize the museum as an institution.
OBJECTIVES
The Friends of the MNAC has three main objectives: to publicize the Museum’s collection, collaborate in the preservation and enrichment of the catalogue, and raise awareness of the value of the Museum’s heritage.
COMMITMENT
Cultural responsibility: so that the MNAC continues to be a strong and vibrant cultural institution for future generations. Every year the Friends of the MNAC draws up an agenda of exclusive activities and organizes crowdfunding campaigns to enable the MNAC Foundation to acquire works that enrich the collection.
