Foundation for Oncological Studies and Research (FERO)

RESEARCH FOR A FUTURE WITHOUT CANCER.

The FERO Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to cancer research.

The organization, founded in 2001 by Dr José Baselga, is dedicated to translational research, a model based on transferring the results of basic research to the clinic, allowing patients to benefit more quickly from scientific advances against cancer. The organization is the driving force behind, among others, the Breast Cancer Center of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital, and of the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), a leading institution in the field of oncology.
