Albéniz Foundation

AT THE FOREFRONT OF ELITE MUSICAL TRAINING, THE ARTISTIC SCENE, AND THE CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT OF MUSIC.

The Reina Sofía School of Music is the main program of the Albéniz Foundation, an organization that promotes different initiatives in the field of culture and music. The School, located in Madrid and founded in 1991, is considered one of the best in the world.

Every year about 150 young musicians from more than 30 different countries are trained under a personalized academic program and taught by internationally renowned teachers. During the year, students offer more than 300 concerts for the general public, including special programs for schools, hospitals and other groups.

OBJECTIVES

The School aims to support young musicians in their personal and artistic development and to bring music closer to the general public.

Thanks to the free enrollment system and an ambitious program of regional scholarships and grants, any young person can study at the School: the only assessment criterion in the entrance exams is talent.

COMMITMENT

The School is a social project that supports young people and musical culture. Since its foundation, it has worked to support talented young people in their personal and artistic development. Huge dedication to the transformative capacity of music. Music breaks down barriers and treats everyone equally, regardless of their language, tradition, or culture. Playing music unites people through values such as dedication, perseverance, leadership, and collaboration, which are essential values for life and coexistence.

The Puig Foundation has been collaborating with the School since 1999 by awarding an annual scholarship to a student.
